Barefoot Construction has been building across the lakes region of northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin since 1978. What started as one founder's commitment to hands-on craftsmanship has grown into a third-generation company with decades of completed projects behind it. We are locally owned, family rooted, and still just as involved on the job site today as we were on day one.
Our founder studied architecture, following a path laid by his father before him. That background shapes how we approach every project. We think about structure, proportion, and long-term performance before a single board goes down. It is not just about building something that looks good today. It is about building something that holds up for years in the Midwest climate.
We work directly with homeowners, property managers, and HOA communities across communities like Grayslake, Libertyville, Barrington, Lake Forest, Lake Geneva, and Fox Lake. Whether your property sits on a quiet inland lot or backs up to one of the area's many lakes, we bring the same level of attention to every job.
Our services cover a wide range of outdoor and structural work. We build new decks and handle full redecks, design and install outdoor kitchens, construct patios and pergolas, and create gazebos and three-season rooms. We also take on full backyard remodels and serve HOA complexes that need reliable, consistent work across multiple units.
